Another race down, another 90 minutes of racing consigned to the history books. And wow, we won’t be forgetting this one any time soon!
A crazy weekend saw Sauber and a British football club form a conglomerate, Hamilton lose his pole position, Maldonado (Maldonado!) promoted to pole position, Fernando Alonso repeat his excellent 2011 start to take the lead into turn 1, Schumacher end his not-crashing-into-Senna drought of around 20 years, yet another pit-stop error from McLaren, and then Maldonado re-claim his lead and win Williams’ first race since 2004.
Oh, and all of this happened in front of an Alonso-adoring Spanish home crowd. Seriously, where did they steal that cut-out from?
Let this postcard be a reminder of one of the most memorable Spanish Grands Prix in recent… well, memory.
